About Best FriendsBest Friends is a no-kill animal shelter, which houses 1,500-2,000 animals on any given day at the sanctuary. Instead of disregarding the uncountable number of animals that are unwanted because of behavior or disability, they work with the animals to help rehabilitate them and place them into adoptable homes. If they never become suited for adoption, they spend their days at the beautiful sanctuary under the care of well-trained caregivers. Since Best Friends began in the late 1980's, the number of cats and dogs being euthanized in shelters has drastically dropped from 17 million annually, to 5 million. Although this is an amazing improvement, there is still a lot of work to be done. Being a non-profit organization, Best Friends receives all of it's funding from donors, and smaller organizations like Pack Life, who fundraise for them.
About Pack LifePack Life is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to ensuring that No Dog is Left Behind. What that means is that no dog is ever mistreated or euthanized because of people induced behavior, age, overpopulation, or for any other reason. We work with non-profit animal welfare groups, as well as local and distant communities, to better the lives of stray, abandoned, and abused dogs. We participate in and conduct events to help with fundraising, volunteering, and education, to ultimately demolish the catastrophic crisis surrounding "unwanted" dogs. Chris Manson and Cassandra Lang founded Pack Life in 2009.
