Auburn, ME- Pack Life co-founders Chris Manson and Cassandra Lang are currently accepting donations for a drawing they will hold on Friday, July 3rd. The local organization is raising money for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT. They will be traveling to the sanctuary in mid July to volunteer at Dogtown, the portion of the sanctuary that hosts up to 1,500 dogs on a daily basis. Pack Life has set a goal of $2500 in honor of Best Friends 25th anniversary this year.

Anyone who donates to this cause will be entered into a drawing to win one of many great prizes that have been donated by local businesses. Winners will be contacted the week of July 6th. A donation of $25 or more grants the donor a 1 year membership to Best Friends as well as a bi-monthly magazine subscription. Every additional $25 will grant a bonus entry into the drawing.

About Best Friends
Best Friends is a no-kill animal shelter, which houses 1,500-2,000 animals on any given day at the sanctuary. Instead of disregarding the uncountable number of animals that are unwanted because of behavior or disability, they work with the animals to help rehabilitate them and place them into adoptable homes. If they never become suited for adoption, they spend their days at the beautiful sanctuary under the care of well-trained caregivers. Since Best Friends began in the late 1980's, the number of cats and dogs being euthanized in shelters has drastically dropped from 17 million annually, to 5 million. Although this is an amazing improvement, there is still a lot of work to be done. Being a non-profit organization, Best Friends receives all of it's funding from donors, and smaller organizations like Pack Life, who fundraise for them.

About Pack Life
Pack Life is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to ensuring that No Dog is Left Behind. What that means is that no dog is ever mistreated or euthanized because of people induced behavior, age, overpopulation, or for any other reason. We work with non-profit animal welfare groups, as well as local and distant communities, to better the lives of stray, abandoned, and abused dogs. We participate in and conduct events to help with fundraising, volunteering, and education, to ultimately demolish the catastrophic crisis surrounding "unwanted" dogs. Chris Manson and Cassandra Lang founded Pack Life in 2009.
